mailer gift boxes.
Send the dimensions of the product rather than a box you already use — we add the clearance ourselves. Itemised pricing comes back the same working day.
- Priced at several quantities, so you can see where the curve flattens
- Print-ready dieline and a 3D render, at no charge
- We flag it if a smaller dimension would cost you less

Almost all packaging assumes the buyer and the recipient are the same person. Gifting breaks that assumption, and several ordinary decisions become wrong as a result.
What changes when someone else opens it
The sender is not there to explain anything. Whatever the box communicates on opening is the entire handover, and there is no second chance to frame it.
Practical consequences: no pricing anywhere in the parcel, including the packing slip. Contents arranged rather than merely fitted. And somewhere obvious for a message, because a gift without a note from the sender lands oddly regardless of how good the box is.
Arrangement over protection alone
A normal mailer succeeds if the product arrives undamaged. A gift box succeeds if the first look is composed. Those usually align — a fitted insert that stops movement is the same insert that holds everything face-up when the lid folds back — but the design starts from what the opening looks like rather than from what survives the journey.
This is where a fitted tray earns its place. See mailer boxes with inserts for how the tray is engineered.
Small details that carry weight
A band or ribbon signals that the box was closed deliberately rather than taped shut. Tissue adds a second moment before the product appears. A short printed line inside the lid does more than an outer print, because it is read at the exact moment attention is highest.
None is expensive. Together they separate a gift box from a shipping box with nicer artwork. Seasonal versions of these sit in our gift and seasonal range.
Frequently asked questions
Can you include a printed message card?
Yes, either pre-printed or blank for handwriting.
Does it need to be a rigid box?
No. A well-finished corrugated mailer with a fitted tray presents extremely well at a fraction of rigid box cost.
Can the outside be discreet?
Yes, and for surprise gifts it should be. Plain outer, considered interior.
Tell us what goes in it
We will design the tray around the arrangement rather than around the individual items.
How we build mailer gift boxes.
Measured from the product
We size the box around what goes inside and add the clearance it needs. That removes void fill you would otherwise buy and dimensional weight you would otherwise pay on every order.
Colour that behaves
Process CMYK or a Pantone spot match, outside and in. We tell you how a colour will sit on kraft before the run, not after it.
Board matched to the load
E-flute, B-flute or double wall depending on weight and fragility. We will talk you down a grade as readily as up one.
Assembles in one motion
One-piece construction with a front-tab lock. No tape, no gun, and seconds rather than minutes at the packing bench.
Recyclable as standard
Kraft and corrugated go in the curbside bin with water- and soy-based inks. Plastic lamination changes that, and we say so when you ask for it.
Fifty is a real run
Enough to prove a design before committing to thousands. Pricing steps down at 250, 500 and 1,000 as setup cost spreads.
Customization options
Board, print method and finish are three separate decisions, and each one moves the price. We will tell you which are worth paying for on your product and which are not.
