Last updated: 28 August 2026. These terms apply to every quote, sample and production order placed with The Mailer Packaging. Placing an order means you accept them.
Quotes
Quotes are valid for 30 days and are based on the specification you supply — dimensions, quantity, board grade, print colours and finish. If any of those change, the price changes with them. Board and freight costs move, which is why we do not hold pricing open indefinitely.
Artwork and proofing
You are responsible for the artwork you supply, including that you hold the rights to any logos, images or fonts in it. We produce a dieline and a digital proof for every job. Nothing goes to press until you approve that proof in writing. Once approved, the approved proof is what we manufacture — errors it contains are not grounds for a reprint.
Colour
Printed colour on corrugated board will not match a backlit screen exactly, and there is natural variation between production runs. We work to a commercial tolerance. If exact colour matching matters to your brand, ask for a physical sample before full production and specify a Pantone reference.
Quantities
Custom packaging is produced to a tolerance of plus or minus 5% on the ordered quantity, which is standard across the industry. You are invoiced for the quantity actually delivered.
Payment
Full payment is due before production begins unless credit terms have been agreed in writing. Production time is quoted from the date payment clears and artwork is approved — whichever is later.
Turnaround and delivery
Standard turnaround is 4 to 6 working days from proof approval, plus transit. Delivery estimates are given in good faith but are not guaranteed, and we are not liable for losses caused by carrier delay.
Cancellations
You can cancel free of charge any time before you approve the proof. After approval, materials are committed and the order cannot be cancelled.
Returns
Because every box is manufactured to your specification, custom orders are not returnable for change of mind. If your order arrives damaged, short, or materially different from the approved proof, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs and we will reprint or refund the affected quantity. Liability
Our liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales or missed launch dates.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
